The Award brings together amateur and professional photographers around one inspiring theme. With exhibitions, a professional jury, an audience award and a festive award ceremony, a platform is created where imagination, quality and photography take centre stage.
The Apeldoorn Photo Award aims to challenge creators to tell stories that move, surprise and connect, reflecting the character of Apeldoorn as a city of space, nature, creativity and culture.
The first edition of the Apeldoorn Photo Award revolves around the theme “Traces”.
Nature moves in an eternal rhythm: seasons change, light shifts, and wind leaves its traces behind. At the same time, people build temporary monuments, create, break down, and leave memories behind.
Objects, animals and abandoned places also carry stories, visible or hidden.
With the theme Traces, photographers are invited to reflect on what remains, what changes, and what slowly disappears.
You can participate in one category.
Seasons, light, weather influences and landscapes. Nature as a constantly changing whole.
What people create, leave behind, build or break down, from architecture to interventions in landscapes and society.
Objects, places or animals that carry a story without human presence.
